The Omen (Speedlog Score 60)

In spite of what many of the critics say, the acting is not that bad. If anything I would blame the script or the directing. Omen was above average summer entertainment. Julia Stiles and Liev Schreiber rarely dissapoint. The film had nowhere near the atmosphere the original had and relied on the music score too much for tension. The cast was underutilized. Some important elements of the original were missed in this less than faithful remake.
